Kennel For A Jack Russell Terrier

When choosing a kennel for a Jack Russell Terrier always ensure that your dog will have enough room to move around comfortably inside.  We suggest our small dog kennel for a Jack Russell Terrier.

The Jack Russell Terrier is a small sized dog which originated in England, where it was breed to hunt foxes. They can live up to 15 years, weight 17lbs and grow to a height of 15inches (at the shoulder).

A lively and fun loving dog who never gets tired of playing will make a great family pet, for a family with older children. They love being around people and want to be involved in all family activities. Fiercely protective of their owners and territory, they make good watch dogs and their fearless nature make them good guard dogs too.

Jack Russell’s are bossy, independent dogs who will require strong leadership during training to prevent them ruling the house. They don’t like being bored and will get up to mischief if left idle for too long. Thus, it is recommended that they have lots of dog toys to play with. Early socialising with other dogs and family pets is essential to prevent the natural terrier temper escalating into aggression. Jack Russell’s are born hunters and will chase other animals they are not familiar with.

They have short dense coats which are very easy to groom, just a brief brush once a week should be sufficient. Feeding twice a day is recommended rather than leaving food out continuously. Jack Russell’s are generally hardy and healthy dogs.
