How does the dog fence collar work?
When your dog nears the boundary wire the collar gives a tone. This is followed by a stimulus if he moves any closer to the dog fence. Once your dog has had the stimulus a few times, the tone alone will let him know that he is nearing the boundary and he will stay away from it. Training is key in helping him understand the concept of the dog fence. The boundary wire can be installed by laying it over the ground, burying it 2-3 inches down, feeding it through a hose pipe or tacking it to an existing fence of a hedge.
Compared to an agricultural electric fence this pet fence has major advantages. Children can safely touch the pet containment fence. Furthermore, where a dog can work out how to jump over or crawl under an electric fence they cannot with this as they are unable to get near the boundary. Driveways can thus safely be left open.
The pet fence energy transfer can cater for the most determined escape artist. The speed detector prevents them running fast over the dog fence boundary. If a dog runs at the wire the collar will go straight to the maximum.
