How does the dog fence collar work?
As your dog approaches the fence the collar will give a tone. If your dog continues to go towards the fence this will become a stimulus. Once your dog has had the stimulus a few times, the tone alone will let him know that he is too close to the boundary and he will learn to stay away from it. Training is key in helping him understand the concept of the dog fence.
The boundary wire can be installed by laying it over the ground, burying it 2-3 inches down, feeding it through a hose pipe or tacking it to an existing fence of a hedge.
This form of pet fence is much better than an ordinary agricultural fence. It is safe for children to touch this pet containment fence. Also, while a dog may be able to work out how to jump over or crawl under an ordinary electric fence, they cannot here are they will be unable to get close enough to the boundary. Driveways can thus safely be left open.
The pet fence can cater for even the most determined of escape artists. It does this with a speed detector which prevents your dog from running over the boundary. If a dog tries to do this the stimulus will go straight to the maximum.
