A cat’s normal body temperature should be around thirty-eight degrees Celsius. Sometimes, in winter, their fur is not enough to deal with the cold. Short-haired or old cats are particularly vulnerable to the cold, while long-haired and younger cats are much more able to stand it. Spending too much time out in the cold in the winter can lead to cats suffering from frost-bite or hypothermia, a condition here their body temperature falls below normal as a result of excessive cold weather.
