Furminator’s Undercoat DeShedding Tool for Long Hair Dogs effectively removes loose hair and excess undercoat up to 90% with regular use.
The curved edge makes for a comfortable and quick way to easily take care of your pet’s grooming needs whilst also reducing pet hairs on clothes, sofas and in the car.
Unlike brushing and combing, deshedding is done to remove the loose, dead undercoat from your pet without cutting or damaging the topcoat. Undercoat deshedding reduces the shed hair in all pets.
Furminator helps prevents your dog’s fur from matting and thins their undercoat to keep their overall coat healthy and shiny.
The unique FURejector button easily and quickly releases collected hair for mess-free disposal.
This tool comes in three different types for you to choose from; small, medium and large dog.
Key Points:
- Desheding tool for long-haired dogs
- Curved edge conforms to pet's natural build and shape
- Skin guard glides over skin, prevents digging in at edges
- Edge guard protects teeth when tool is stored
Directions for use:
Please read all instructions before use.
- For best results, undercoat deshedding should be performed immediately after washing or drying.
- Before using the deshedding tool, look for sores, bruises and skin conditions, which your pets coat may conceal. If your pet has any of these conditions, seek treatment from a veterinarian before brushing.
- Use the undercoat deshedding tool much like a brush, gently stroking across your pet’s coat in the direction of hair growth, angling the stainless-steel teeth towards the coat. Start from your pet’s head and work your way back, using extra care near the stomach, legs and genitals. Avoid making excessive strokes in a single area. Although the skinguard design prevents digging in at edges and helps the undercoat deshedding tool slide over skin, deep or rough brushing can still irritate your pet’s skin, so avoid brushing with excessive pressure. If you notice any redness or irritation discontinue use.
- As undercoat hair is collected by your tool, excess hair can be removed from the teeth of the tool by pushing the FURejector button.
